Why we love them
Manufactured in Japan, these left handed secateurs have a very smooth cutting action making them a joy to use.
Offering a great balance of strength and ease of use to make cutting through twigs and branches a quick job. Finished with a superior sharpness and durability to reduce strain on the wrist when cutting.
Carrying the distinctive red and blue handles of the Ono blacksmith, the coloured handle sleeves are removable if you prefer a more traditional look.
Available in two sizes to suit differing hand sizes:
- 180mm – Smaller 180mm total length, blade length 55mm weight 190g
- 200m – Standard 200mm total length, blade length 55mm weight 210g
A great pair of secateurs for the left handed gardener.
Pruning of branches, deadheading and general maintenance as well as Niwaki pruning.
Clean the blades of any sap residue, using a little wire wool if required and oil with camelia oil to prevent the blades from rusting.
It may become necessary to sharpen the blades after a while, this can be done using a whetstone.
