Why we love them
Senkichi snips are a great lightweight pair of snips that are easy on the hands and tough on the plants. The 45mm blades offer a quick cut for softer stems when deadheading around the garden. For heavier pruning work we recommend the Senkichi Secateurs, to give that little more strength.
The red coloured, plastic coated handles are soft to hold and allow great feedback from the cut being made. The red colour also makes them easy to see around the garden, standing out amongst the lawn. A leather strap holds the handles together and the blades closed when not in use.
Manufactured in China and made specifically for the Japanese market, Senkichi offer a high quality tool and a fantastic price. We offer a range of Senkichi tools for use around the garden.
We don’t believe that you will get a better pair of snips for the money than Senkichi snips.
Pruning of pine candles, bud and branch trimming, deadheading and general light maintenance.
Clean the blades of any sap residue, using a little wire wool if required and oil with camellia oil to prevent the blades from rusting.
It may become necessary to sharpen the blades after a while, this can be done using a whetstone.
