Why we love them
These Senkichi lightweight snips really are something different and special. Made from a fibreglass composite, they weigh just 130 grams, approximately 25% less than a standard construction equivalent.
The flourine coated blades have a cutting length of 55mm and are suited for cutting softer stems up to 8mm in diameter. For heavier pruning work we recommend the Senkichi secateurs from the matching lightweight range.
The black coloured, fibreglass handles offer a great feedback from the cutting blades with a satisfying sound to go with it. The red stripe also makes these lightweight snips easier to see around the garden, standing out amongst the lawn.
Manufactured in China and made specifically for the Japanese market, Senkichi offer a high quality tool and a fantastic price. We offer a range of Senkichi tools for use around the garden.
The Senkichi lightweight range are ideal for those with slightly less arm or wrist strength and mobility
Suitable for
Pruning of pine candles, bud and branch trimming, deadheading and general light maintenance.
Maintenance
Clean the blades of any sap residue, using a little wire wool if required and oil with camellia oil to prevent the blades from rusting.
It may become necessary to sharpen the blades after a while, this can be done using a whetstone.
