Why we love them

These Senkichi garden scissors measure 215mm long and made from a durable yet light aluminium material. The spring loaded handles with a soft grip rubber insert feel great in the hand and provide a solid and reassuring cut.

The 55mm long cutting blades are made from Japanese SK5 high carbon steel to ensure a clean, reliable and stable cut. They are suitable for cutting material up to 8mm in diameter making them a versatile pair of scissors. Ideal for general garden trimming, flower arranging and Ikebana, as well as pine candle pruning. For heavier pruning work we recommend the Senkichi secateurs from the matching lightweight range.

The aluminium finish with the red stripe also makes these lightweight garden scissors easier to see around the garden, standing out amongst the lawn.

Maintenance

Clean the blades of any sap residue, using a little wire wool if required and oil with camellia oil to prevent the blades from rusting.

It may become necessary to sharpen the blades after a while, this can be done using a whetstone.
